Easy Search Engine Optimisation
There millions of websites offerring website design tools on the
internet today, finding the right website that offers what you are
looking for is next to impossible when you have to root through pages
of text and advertising only to find that when you do eventually find
it the tool was last updated in 2003.
Those websites are thankfully in the minority, there are actually a
handful though that offer a myriad of tools without registration.
Net savvy web designers and programmers usually put together a set of
tools for a number of reasons, they are either trying to convert you
into a subscriber of their newsletter in which they will give little
bits of info away but at the same time offer you the latest products
from their affiliates in the hope of earning the odd couple of quid.
This is fine because we know that what they are offering has to be
viable enough in the first place for you to sign up to their newsletter
and they can on the whole be trusted to deliver with their tool.
The thing that gets my goat is when you are searching high and low
through SERP`s (Search Engine Result Pages) and you come across what
seems to be the ideal tool only to find it has been written by some
sales team, you know exactly what I mean.
You arrive at the website and it all looks well and good then you
glance briefly to the right and clock how far down the page you are
going to have to read by the ever decreasing size of the scrollbar.
If you have come across these pages before then you know what I mean,
so you cut to the chase and scroll down to the bottom to find, yes you
guessed it a sign up form or a buy now button of some description.
One of the hardest things when it comes to SEO (Search Engine
Optimisation) is remembering all the little tweaks to the page you have
to make to stand half a chance of even being noticed within the SERP`s
the next is offering something viable enough to offer your visitor in
order for them to return.
A checklist of sorts would be the answer to optimisation but that does
not cater for the alterations in search engine algorithms so you need a
website that can offer "on the fly" tools where all you have to do is
analyze the results.
With all that said who would I recommend for useful online tools?
I will start this list with SEOmoz and their search engine optimisation category within their blog (I know they will love the deep link!).
Apart from the other great tools SEOmoz offers their blog is well read
and offers great advice from a perspective that newbies and experts can
understand, no sign up required just read and learn.
